Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a skilled Chemical Corrosion Processing Technician to set up production areas, lead rigging of large parts, and perform advanced titrations with data-driven methods. You will drive troubleshooting and continuous improvement to support safe spaceflight missions.

The role requires interpreting drawings, maintaining process control, and mentoring Level I/II technicians while ensuring safety and quality across operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 6 years in manufacturing, incl. 4 years in chemical processing.
• Experience with corrosion control in aerospace, medical, or precision industries.
• Experience performing chemical analysis (titrations) and maintaining process control.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work to controlled procedures.
• Hands-on with tank lines and overhead lifting equipment; rigging fundamentals.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated mentoring of junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrosion control on aerospace components per specifications; qualify baths and line conditions.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot chemical cleaning, etching, and coating systems.
• Lead safe use of cranes, hoists, and rigging for large aerospace hardware; coach others.
• Conduct visual inspections and ensure travelers, logs, and records are complete.
• Perform titrations; maintain process-control charts; initiate corrective actions.
• Adhere to EH&S regs; maintain clean, organized work area per 5S and related standards.
• Lead routine and preventive maintenance on pumps, tanks, and related equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians on process improvements.
