Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in Wichita, KS is hiring for a production process technician. You will ensure the production process runs smoothly in a fast‑paced, aerospace-focused environment, handling chemical tanks and processing steps from start to finish.

You will follow work orders, calculate processing times, and oversee line assistants to maximize throughput, while maintaining safety and documentation. The role requires attention to detail, ability to read specs, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Previous experience a plus, preferably in the aerospace processing industry.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process parts in chemical tanks according to specifications, work order and other requirements.
• Calculates the appropriate amount of time needed to process parts.
• Removes parts from tank after specified time, rinses parts and immerse them in bath before finishing processing.
• Completes paperwork as required by company and processing guidelines.
• Oversee and assist all line assistants to optimize throughput.
• Evaluate and log all preventative maintenance on processing line.
• Ensure all hazardous waste material is disposed of correctly.
• Other duties as assigned.
