Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies, a full-service surface finishing company, seeks an operator to ensure smooth production flow at its Wichita site. You will process parts in chemical tanks, calculate processing times, and manage rinsing and finalization steps, while assisting line personnel to optimize throughput.

With duties spanning paperwork, maintenance logging, and waste disposal, the role requires reading specifications, standing for long periods, and ability to lift.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity; ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process parts in chemical tanks according to specifications, work order and other requirements.
• Calculates the appropriate amount of time needed to process parts.
• Removes parts from tank after specified time, rinses parts and immerse them in bath before finishing processing.
• Completes paperwork as required by company and processing guidelines.
• Oversee and assist all line assistants to optimize throughput.
• Evaluate and log all preventative maintenance on processing line.
• Ensure all hazardous waste material is disposed of correctly.
• Other duties as assigned.
