This position performs precision layout, marking, and scribing on aircraft components in preparation for chemical milling, ensuring dimensional integrity and traceability.

The ideal candidate can read engineering drawings, operate precision measuring tools, and maintain safety and quality standards in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 1–3 years in manufacturing, aerospace, or metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, gauges).

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and process specifications.
• Perform precision layout and scribing using templates and measuring tools.
• Mark milling boundaries and material removal areas per requirements.
• Verify dimensions, reference points, and part orientation.
• Inspect layouts for accuracy before release.
• Maintain part traceability and complete production records.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams.
