Safran Seats in Gainesville, Texas, is seeking a Certification Engineer to support FAA certification activities and ensure airframe compliance. The role involves preparing test plans, reviewing drawings, and performing analyses in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

You will contribute to risk assessments, perform hand and basic computer calculations, and help ensure product adherence to internal procedures and external standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field or 12 years of equivalent experience.
• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to think strategically and solve problems.
• Ability to generate technical reports with a reasonable typing speed.
• Ability to analyze engineering drawings and understand stress/strain concepts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare test plans, reports and documents for FAA certification and compliance with airframe requirements.
• Ensure products comply with FAA TSO requirements.
• Review and sign-off engineering drawings with verification of compliance.
• Follow Safran Seats USA procedures and internal certification processes.
• Perform hand calculations and basic computer-based calculations for analysis.
• Review drawings and FEA reports for risk analysis.
