Job summary

Doncasters Group in Oxford, Alabama, is seeking a Ceramic Core Engineer to act as the technical authority for non-metallic materials and core manufacturing processes used in aerospace investment castings. The role focuses on developing a green-field core operation on-site at the Oxford facility, overseeing material development, forming, thermal processing, and finishing to ensure high-quality components.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Ceramic Engineering or related field.
At least 5 years in ceramics processing, injection molding, or an investment casting foundry.
Proficient with data analysis tools (Minitab, Excel) for SPC.
Experience with lab testing methods and protocols.
Familiar with inspection tooling and GD&T principles.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical authority for non-metallic materials and processes in aerospace investment castings.
Develop a green-field core manufacturing operation from materials to finishing.
Optimize ceramic core yields and ensure fixed process control and defect resolution.
