Job summary

Quest Defense Systems and Solutions is hiring a Product Definition Engineer to create 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and MBD/DPD to support manufacturing and development of aerospace components. You will work with Siemens NX, CATIA, and Teamcenter to ensure accurate definitions and BOM integrity.

The role focuses on GD&T, tolerance analysis, and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to meet ASME Y14.5/14.41 standards and program milestones.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in Product Definition, CAD Design, Mechanical Design, or Engineering Drafting.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX, CATIA V5, or 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Experience creating 3D models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD) and Digital Product Definition (DPD).
• Experience using Teamcenter or similar PLM systems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly.
• Experience supporting engineering changes and configuration management.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using Siemens NX or CATIA.
• Develop MBD and DPD for aerospace components.
• Create and maintain BOMs using Teamcenter.
• Perform GD&T and tolerance stack-up analyses to support manufacturable designs.
• Review drawings for ASME Y14.5 and Y14.41 compliance.
• Support engineering changes, configuration management, and technical documentation.
• Validate supplier CAD models and resolve drawing, modeling, and assembly issues.
• Perform interference and clash analyses for assemblies.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Participate in design reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
