Job summary

TRIDENT SYSTEMS LLC in Fairfax, VA seeks a Buyer to procure electronic components, parts, and services for production and programs. You will manage POs, quotes, and supplier communications, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets.

The role requires at least 2 years in purchasing within a manufacturing or aerospace environment and strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills. This position offers full-time employment in a regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, operations, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years purchasing experience in manufacturing/aerospace/regulated environment.
• Experience creating and managing purchase orders in ERP/MRP with supplier communications.
• Knowledge of material requirements planning, inventory drivers, and lead times.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Procure electronic components, mechanical parts, and services to support production and programs.
• Create and manage POs, quotes, and related documentation from requisition to closeout.
• Review material requirements and lead times to support builds and schedules.
• Expedite and reschedule orders to meet production schedules and cash goals.
• Negotiate quotes and source decisions balancing cost and quality.
• Maintain supplier data in ERP systems including pricing and lead times.
