Job summary

Cristek is hiring a Buyer to manage procurement of materials, components, and services for aerospace and defense manufacturing. You will work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure material availability and on-time delivery.

The role requires a 2–4 year background in purchasing or supply chain, ERP/MRP experience, and the ability to read engineering drawings. ITAR compliance is a key consideration, and experience in aerospace is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and build effective supplier relationships.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, high-mix manufacturing, OSP, or MRO purchasing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities from requirements through delivery, including purchase orders, supplier follow-up, and expediting.
• Procure materials, components, outside processing (OSP) services, and MRO supplies.
• Build strong supplier relationships and help resolve quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness issues.
• Partner across functions to mitigate shortages and support changing production priorities.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier, pricing, and delivery information within ERP/MRP systems.
• Support sourcing, supplier qualification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure purchasing activities meet company, customer, quality, and regulatory requirements, including ITAR.
