Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in battery design, development, and testing (preferably OEM or aerospace/defense environment).
• Knowledge of Li-ion fundamentals, impedance, failure modes, and testing methods.
• Familiarity with battery test equipment and data analysis tools (MATLAB preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Experience with SolidWorks (preferred).
• Understanding of FAA regulations or aerospace qualification standards (a plus).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced cell and battery architectures that meet aerospace standards.
• Perform modeling, parameter analysis, and optimization of battery designs.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams for packaging and integration.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate cell and battery performance.
• Document results and present technical findings internally and externally.
• Support sustaining engineering to improve existing products.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of returned battery systems.
