Job summary

Triumph Group, based in Yakima, WA, seeks an Assembly Test Technician for Repair & Overhaul. The role involves mechanical assembly, testing, and process improvement across complex hydraulic systems, with 1st and 3rd shift rotations and a 15% 3rd shift premium.

Responsibilities include testing, failure analysis, maintaining documentation, and working with hazardous chemicals. Requires a high school diploma or GED, basic mechanical knowledge, and ability to work overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• General mechanical knowledge background.
• Knowledge of advanced hydraulic and electro-hydraulic theory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly, functional tests, and finish operations per blueprints with minimal supervision.
• Conduct functional tests maximizing quality and productivity across multiple machines.
• Determine optimal assembly sequences with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Control.
• Identify test applications suitable for automation and process improvements.
• Determine causes and corrective actions via failure analysis with Design Eng. and Quality Control.
• Maintain records of work performed, test setups, and procedures.
• Work with hazardous chemicals and potentially caustic oils; heavy lifting may be required.
• Set up and conduct tests to evaluate design characteristics and performance.
