Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Manufacturing Assembly Technician II to support full-scale production of Leo satellites in Washington. You will follow strict work instructions, assemble and test avionics and aerospace components, and participate in process improvements while maintaining inventory and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1+ year experience in a high-traceability manufacturing environment, and proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years in a high traceability manufacturing environment, or relevant trade school certification.
• 1+ years using hand tools and/or precision measuring instruments (Calipers, multi-meters, torque wrenches).
• 1+ years working with test tools and test methods that adequately validate the system.
• Experience reading, interpreting and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Arrange and test with emphasis to detail, an assortment of LRUs, electrical‑mechanical assemblies, avionics, or other complex aerospace builds.
• Participate in process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory.
• Independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables.
• Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance.
• Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations.
• Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated.
• Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems.
• Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients.
• Contribute to improving SOPs and safety procedures.
