Job summary

LifePort is seeking a precise Assembly technician in Woodland, WA to assemble armor systems using machines and hand tools. You will read blueprints, lay out parts, and perform precision cuts and bonding on carbon fiber and fiberglass components.

The role requires accuracy, teamwork and independent initiative, with a strong aerospace experience preference. Outlook, ERP/SFM and payroll tools proficiency is expected, with standard safety practices in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with motivation.
• Aerospace experience preferred.
• Proficient in Outlook, ERP/SFM software and payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals and specifications.
• Understand equipment requirements and fabrication methods for materials like fiberglass and carbon fiber.
• Lay out and mark dimensions and trace patterns on materials.
• Cut and trim armor parts with handheld tools to close tolerances.
• Perform structural bonding, insert installation, panel edging, and carbon fiber assembly.
