Job summary

Wichita Machine Products in Wichita, Kansas is seeking an entry-level Assembly Mechanic to assemble components and subassemblies under supervision, following work instructions and engineering documentation.

You will use basic hand tools and precision measuring devices, perform visual inspections, keep the work area clean, and complete production documentation while learning aerospace quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Assembly/manufacturing experience preferred; aerospace experience a plus.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and drawings.
• Basic reading of technical drawings and specs.
• Detail-oriented with ability to perform repetitive, precision work.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and subassemblies per work instructions and drawings.
• Operate basic hand tools, pneumatic drills, calipers, micrometers.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Complete production documentation accurately.
• Report quality or process concerns promptly.
• Participate in required training programs.
• Perform benchtop assembly in an aerospace environment.
