Job summary

A leading aerospace firm is seeking an Inspector Assembly in Wichita, Kansas. In this role, you will inspect parts, assemblies, and aircraft to ensure they meet quality standards, utilizing precision measurement tools and digital design systems. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in assembly inspection in aerospace or related fields, along with a high school diploma. The position offers a 4-day workweek and competitive benefits including health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in assembly inspection or quality role.
• 1 year of aircraft assembly experience, Bell assembly experience a plus.
• Preferred knowledge of precision measuring instruments and special alignments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts, assemblies, and aircraft for quality assurance.
• Operate special testing instruments and equipment as required.
• Work from complicated blueprints and specifications.
• Approve acceptable work or reject work failing to meet standards.
• Coordinate acceptance with various groups and organizations.
• Perform first article inspections in 3DX.

Skills

Experience in Digital Design Systems such as 3DX, CATIA V5, V6

GD&T Rev AMSE Y14.5 – 2009 or higher

Strong working knowledge of Enovia, CAMS, and VQM

Familiarity with AS9102 for First Article Inspection process
