Job summary

The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. is hiring for an assembly-focused role in Seattle, WA. The position involves setting up and operating tooling and equipment to assemble metal and non-metal parts, following work orders and drawings, and ensuring safety standards are maintained.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of assembly experience. The role is a day shift with potential overtime and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate drill press and hand drills.
• Basic sealing and gluing.
• Set-up and operate rivet machine.
• Set-up and operate countersinking.
• Install panduit straps, clips, nuts, bolts and screws.
• Cut materials to size using templates or work orders.
• Understand requirements from work instructions and drawings.
• Wrap parts with insulation or other materials.
• Mentor co-workers and ensure safety standards are followed.
