Job summary

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions US Inc in Northborough, MA, is seeking an engineer to partner with customers to understand their intermediate technical needs and provide reliable solutions.

You will create and maintain engineering documentation, support the sales team with technical information and product demonstrations, and collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and other units to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline.
• 3 years engineering experience, preferably in a customer-facing role.
• Master's degree counts as 2 years of experience.
• 2 years’ experience with CAD and engineering software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, or NX).
• 2 years’ experience in product design, including complex surfaces, assemblies, and kinematics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Ability to self-manage and work without supervision.
• Ability to handle and prioritize dynamic workload.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Proven proficiency with presentations and public speaking.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to understand their intermediate technical needs and provide solutions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customers.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation (models, drawings, and procedures).
• Support the sales team by providing technical information and product demonstrations.
• Process engineering change requests internally and externally.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction (R&D, manufacturing, sales).
• Engineering approver for engineering documentation reviews.
• Partner with 3rd party suppliers as needed to support product gaps.

The final compensation offered to the candidate may be based on geographical location, work experience and/or skill level. Additions to the compensation package, including but not limited to paid time off, insurance benefits and 401(k) eligibility, will be outlined at the time of the job offer.
