Job summary

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Switzerland AG seeks a customer-facing engineer to understand intermediate technical needs and provide robust solutions. You will create and maintain engineering documentation, support the sales team with technical information and demonstrations, and collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and sales to ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, CAD experience (CATIA/SolidWorks/NX), and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline.
• 3 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably in a customer-facing role.
• Master's degree counts as 2 years of experience for total experience.
• 2 years’ experience with CAD and engineering software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, or NX).
• 2 years’ experience in product design, including complex surfaces, assemblies, and kinematics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Ability to self-manage and work without supervision.
• Ability to handle and prioritize dynamic workload.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Proven proficiency with presentations and public speaking.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to understand their intermediate technical needs and provide solutions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customers.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation (models, drawings, and procedures).
• Support the sales team by providing technical information and product demonstrations.
• Process engineering change requests internally and externally.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction (e.g., R&D, manufacturing, sales).
• Engineering approver for engineering documentation reviews.
• Partner with 3rd party suppliers as needed to support product gaps.

The final compensation offered to the candidate may be based on geographical location, work experience and/or skill level. Additions to the compensation package, including but not limited to paid time off, insurance benefits and 401(k) eligibility, will be outlined at the time of the job offer.
