Job summary

Intergalactic, now a part of Unison, a GE Aerospace Company, seeks an AI&T Technician to assemble, integrate, and test spacecraft subsystems on-site in St. George, Utah.

You will execute precise AIT procedures across structural, propulsion, avionics, and payload components to support program milestones. The role requires an associate degree in a related technology and 2+ years of hands-on experience, with reading drawings and using multimeters and oscilloscopes.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in aerospace engineering technology, electronics technology, mechanical technology, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years hands-on assembly, integration, and testing of high-reliability hardware, preferably in aerospace/defense.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions.
• Experience with precision hand tools and measurement equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes).
• Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and ESD control procedures.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• US citizenship or permanent residency due to ITAR restrictions; on-site in St. George, UT.
• Role may involve high-risk operations and shift work; must be at least 18. US Person status required.

Responsibilities

• Execute assembly, integration, and testing procedures for spacecraft subsystems including structural, propulsion, avionics, and payload components.
• Perform functional tests, continuity checks, and environmental testing (thermal vacuum, vibration) per test plans.
• Operate and maintain specialized test equipment and cleanroom environments with proper calibration.
• Document all AIT activities, test results, anomaly reports, and configuration changes.
• Collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in pre-shipment inspections and prepare flight hardware for delivery.
• Adhere to safety, cleanroom, and QA guidelines; contribute to process improvements.
