Job summary

AAA USA is actively hiring experienced Aircraft Painters to support major aerospace manufacturing programs in Spokane, WA. You will prepare, mask, prime, and paint aircraft components and assemblies to the highest quality standards.

Relocation assistance is available, with overtime opportunities and a clear path for career growth in a long-term aerospace program. Applicants must have 3 years of painting experience, strong attention to detail, and ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• 3 years of aircraft painting experience.
• Experience with spray applications, primer coats, and final finishes.
• Ability to apply stenciling, gloss finishes, and specialty coatings.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation and paint mixing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering documents.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to pass respirator certification and painter skill testing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare aircraft parts and assemblies for painting through cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface preparation.
• Mix primers, sealants, and topcoats according to engineering specifications and manufacturer requirements.
• Apply primers, coatings, and finish paints using conventional and specialized spray equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and planning documents.
• Match paint colors and finishes to required specifications while ensuring coating consistency and quality.
• Perform paint touch-ups, rework, and repairs as required.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment to verify coating thickness and quality standards.
• Maintain paint booths, spray guns, and related equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Handle and dispose of paints, solvents, and hazardous materials in accordance with company procedures and environmental regulations.
• Support production schedules while maintaining compliance with safety, OSHA, customer, and aerospace quality standards.
