Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL, seeks an Aircraft Inspector 2/3 to join our quality team. You will conduct part and process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to meet customer requirements, and apply drawings, tolerances, and specifications.

The role requires reading technical documents, documenting results for traceability, and identifying discrepant parts for MRB review.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and experience in quality assurance or inspection
• Experience using measuring devices like caliper, micrometer, gages
• Experience in Aerospace manufacturing and/or cable harnesses
• Understanding of GD&T and reading drawings
• Must be able to pass New Hire Physical/visual Exam
• Active Government Secret clearance and US citizenship for clearance

Responsibilities

• Conduct part and process inspections with gauges to meet customer requirements
• Apply tolerances and specifications to parts and processes
• Record measurement results for traceability
• Read drawings and work instructions
• Identify discrepant parts and document in MRB
• Support RCCA, MRB follow-up, and internal audits
• Maintain safety and participate in inspection training
