Job summary

Cessna Aircraft Company is seeking a Design Engineer in Monroe to develop and conduct complex design assignments related to hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems. The role includes responsibilities for product design, testing, and certification while collaborating with multiple engineering teams.

Qualified candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, with at least 5 years of relevant experience and familiarity with CAD software such as CATIA and SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years engineering experience or relevant aviation technical experience.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and finishes associated with aerospace products.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements for qualifying and certifying components.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in support of new product and sustaining designs.
• Coordinate with Engineering and technical groups to develop and implement assignments.
• Responsible for completing design, testing and certification for new designs.

Skills

Strong familiarity with CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software

Demonstrated ability to work as a team player

Strong presentation skills

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other related field
