Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth is seeking an Aeronautical Engineer Stf - E4 to perform stress analysis and develop finite element models for aircraft structures, mechanisms, doors, and subsystems, collaborating with Design and MRB teams. You will review results, provide dispositions for discrepant parts, and support certification activities while documenting methodologies.

Strong aerospace stress analysis background and teamwork are essential; must be a US citizen able to obtain a secret

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civel Engineering (note: Civil spelled as 'Civel').
  • US Citizenship required; government security clearance.
  • Experience in stress analysis including hand, automated, and finite element methods.
  • Experience with MRB dispositions and nonconformance processes.
  • Experience with metallic and non-metallic (including composites) stress analysis.
  • Direct experience in aircraft industry.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform stress analysis and develop finite element models for aircraft structures, mechanisms, doors, and subsystems.
  • Collaborate with Design and Material Review Board to evaluate designs and ensure compliance.
  • Generate technical dispositions for discrepant or damaged parts in production and fielded aircraft.
  • Review analysis results and provide recommendations to improve structural integrity and reliability.
  • Document analysis methodology and support certification activities.
