Job summary

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics seeks a full-time associate manager to lead the Harness Design Team for the AMMM program in Marietta, GA. You will apply technical expertise in wiring design and production for aircraft, oversee a small team, and manage complex projects through EVMS and CAM duties.

The role requires a US citizenship and eligibility for a Secret Clearance, with a facility access requirement. Collaboration with multiple internal and external partners is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent with experience.
  • Experience with CAD tools such as Capital Logic, Creo, Cameo.
  • Experience in harness, wiring, or cable design/schematics.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value management processes.
  • Eligibility for a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and fabrication of wiring diagrams and harnesses for large aircraft platforms.
  • Lead scope/estimating/planning of complex projects and ensure schedule adherence.
  • Develop solutions and work-around plans to maintain program progress.
  • Interface with support organizations, suppliers, and customers.
  • Lead proposal development, quoting, technical checks, and production fault isolation.
  • Lead technical discussions in program meetings to meet requirements.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing to maintain flow via drawings and quality resolutions.
  • Provide leadership including performance reviews and career development.
  • Oversee EVMS and CAM duties, project scheduling, and resource loading.

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in seeking a full-time associate manager for the Harness Design Team for the AMMM program in Marietta, Georgia. A successful candidate will apply technical expertise in the development and production of the wiring design for aircraft.

  • Design and fabrication of wiring diagrams and harnesses for large aircraft platforms
  • Assist with determining scope, estimate, plan, and implementation of highly complex technical projects
  • Develop solutions to problems and provide work-around plans to maintain program schedule and budget
  • Interface with support organizations as well as other management, suppliers, and customers
  • Proposal development, quoting, implementation, technical check, production/flight-line fault isolation, and continuous improvement identification
  • Lead technical discussion within program level meetings to achieve program requirements
  • Work with key manufacturing elements to maintain manufacturing flow through drawing revisions and quality report resolutions
  • Leadership responsibilities for personnel including mid-year and annual performance reviews, career development and direction, timekeeping, etc.
  • EVMS and CAM duties, as well as project scheduling, resource loading, and technical issue resolution

The selected candidate will manage a small team (10+) of engineers that execute engineering tasks for various retrofit programs in support of the AMMM Line of Business (LOB). Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, a related engineering discipline, or equivalent post‑secondary education combined with relevant professional experience.
  • Experience with Capital Logic, Creo, Cameo, or similar CAD tool
  • Experience with Harness, Wiring, or Cable design/schematics
  • Nominal knowledge and experience working with Earned Value
  • Must be eligible for a Secret Clearance
Desired Skills
  • Experience with some Aerospace Aircraft (C-130H, C-130J, C-5, P3, F35, F16, F22, etc...)
  • Some experience, and technical/project leadership experience on large-scale aircraft and defense systems acquisition and development programs
  • Applicant must have an established reputation for respect and patience with peers and those under his/her supervision or direction
  • Some experience with LM Aero tools and databases; these include but are not limited to LAWS, ECRS, DIMs, CADatanet, ServiceFlo, ICA, EDCS, DSD, GUIDE, and ADMS
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
