Job summary

The Mice Groups, Inc. is seeking an experienced Aeronautical Design Engineer to lead end-to-end design, integration, and sustainment of airworthy systems. You will own concepts through production and validation, ensuring compliance with FAA and military standards.

Responsibilities include weight-optimized structural design, hand stress analysis, and 3D CAD development. Collaboration with manufacturing and reviews across teams is expected, with mentoring of staff and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10–20 years of aerospace or spacecraft design experience (experience in the field).
• Experience taking designs from concept through production.
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.

An aerospace engineering organization is seeking an experienced Aeronautical Design Engineer to support the design, integration, and sustainment of advanced airworthy systems. This role involves end‑to‑end engineering ownership, from conceptual design through manufacturing and validation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop weight‑optimized, compliant aerospace structures
• Perform structural analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures
• Execute classical hand stress analysis and advanced FEA modeling
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, and substantiation reports
• Support manufacturing, assembly, and anomaly resolution
• Participate in internal and customer design reviews
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering staff
• Ensure compliance with applicable FAA and/or military standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline
• 10–20 years of aerospace or spacecraft design experience
• Strong background in hand stress analysis (Bruhn, Roark, MMPDS)
• Experience taking designs from concept through production
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a small, collaborative team environment
• U.S. Citizenship required (ITAR compliance)
