Job description

About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. OpenTrain AI is the hiring and contracting organization for this role, connecting experts with projects that help develop more capable AI systems.

Creating an OpenTrain account is free, and qualified candidates can apply in minutes.

About AI Training and Evaluation

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Modern models learn from examples prepared, reviewed, and evaluated by people with real subject-matter expertise.

In this project, your aerospace engineering knowledge will help assess technical reasoning, identify inaccuracies, and provide feedback that improves how AI systems handle complex aerodynamics questions.

The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking experienced Aerodynamics Experts for a remote, freelance contract supporting an AI training and evaluation project focused on aerospace engineering. You will solve advanced aerodynamics problems, review AI-generated technical responses, and explain your engineering judgment clearly.

No previous AI experience is required. The role is expected to run for 3 to 6 months, with a commitment of less than 20 hours per week. Candidates must be fluent in English and based in one of the eligible countries listed below.

  • Contract and freelance engagement
  • Remote, flexible schedule
  • Expert-level opportunity
  • Expected availability: less than 20 hours per week
  • Expected project duration: 3 to 6 months
  • Compensation: $60 to $130 per hour, depending on expertise, qualifications, and project requirements
  • Payment may be output-based and determined by successfully completed tasks that meet project specifications
What You'll Do

You will complete evaluation, question-answering, and text-generation tasks involving aerospace engineering and computational aerodynamics. Your work will combine technical problem-solving with careful review of AI-generated content.

  • Solve and evaluate advanced aerodynamics and fluid dynamics problems
  • Review AI-generated technical responses for accuracy, correctness, and engineering quality
  • Apply engineering judgment to practical and theoretical aerodynamic scenarios
  • Analyze external aerodynamics, CFD, wind tunnel testing, propulsion, and vehicle aerodynamics
  • Work with compressible and incompressible flow, boundary layers, turbulence, thermofluids, and aerodynamic performance
  • Review CFD simulations and aerodynamic analysis results
  • Provide clear technical feedback and written explanations
  • Help improve AI reasoning and performance in aerospace engineering
  • Collaborate remotely with a distributed team of experts
