Job Title: Aerobiology, Animal Clinical Pathology and Telemetry (AAT) Senior Research Technician

The salary range for this exempt position is $85,000 - $95,000. This range represents the company's estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Generate, characterize, and sample biological aerosols supporting pathogenesis and medical countermeasure studies against biothreat agents, including animal plethysmography, aerosol supervision, bacterial and viral assaying, and decontaminations.
- Investigate infection events in laboratory animals, support logistical and technical aspects of animal protocols, and manage study data entry and documentation.
- Complete study activities as per protocols, including sample processing, aliquoting, inactivation, and inventory management in BSL-2, BSL-3, or BSL-4 environments.
- Perform assays such as viral and bacterial characterization, ELISA, RT-PCR, microarray, cytokine analysis, and in vitro sample analysis.
- Conduct clinical pathology evaluations including hematology, clinical chemistry, urine, fecal, and coagulation analyses.
- Assist with data entry, manuscript and poster preparation, and present research findings at scientific conferences.
- Maintain laboratory space and equipment, record maintenance, replenish supplies, and notify leadership of needs.
- Mentor and train team members according to SOPs and regulations.
- Develop and review SOPs, respond to audits, and manage CAPAs.
- Collaborate on and support the development of the AAT technical training program.
- Assemble, calibrate, test telemetry systems, troubleshoot issues, and support animal studies in containment environments.
- Operate and maintain telemetry systems, maintain inventory, and analyze telemetry data.
- Maintain training records, perform weekly/monthly safety and containment area details, and report non-compliance issues.
- Provide technical support for animal protocols, including observations, sample collection, euthanasia, and tissue collection, in compliance with GLP standards.
- Report restrictions from containment, coordinate task coverage, and maintain required certifications (CS-PRP, BPRP).
