Cape Fox subsidiary Eagle Health, LLC is seeking candidates for a Aerobiology, Animal Clinical Pathology and Telemetry (AAT) Senior Research Technician to support a government customer at Ft. Detrick. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The salary range for this exempt position is $85,000 - $95,000. We offer benefits including holidays, paid time off, health, dental, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and 401K with match. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Generate, characterize, and sample biological aerosols supporting studies against biothreat agents, including animal plethysmography, aerosol supervision, bacterial and viral assaying, and decontaminations. Approximate workload: 75-120 aerosol exposures/year.
- Investigate infection events in laboratory animals, support animal protocols, and document activities in the AAT Scheduling program. Work in BSL-2, BSL-3, or BSL-4 labs, with up to 20 protocols/year.
- Perform assays such as viral and bacterial characterization, ELISA, RT-PCR, cytokine analysis, and in vitro sample analysis, as per protocols.
- Conduct clinical pathology evaluations including hematology, chemistry, urine, fecal, and coagulation analyses.
- Assist with data entry, chart/graph creation, manuscript/poster preparation, and present research findings annually at scientific conferences.
- Maintain laboratory space and equipment, record maintenance, replenish supplies, and assist with SOP development and audits.
- Mentor and train team members, and contribute to technical training programs.
- Assemble, calibrate, test telemetry systems, troubleshoot issues, and support telemetry for animal studies in BSL environments, managing approximately 20 studies/year.
- Maintain telemetry equipment, inventory, and data analysis, ensuring data security and backup.
- Complete training, maintain records, and support safety and SOP compliance, including weekly/monthly building and laboratory details.
- Provide animal support tasks such as observations, sample collection, euthanasia, and tissue collection, under GLP standards and regulatory oversight.
- Report safety or SOP non-compliance, and coordinate coverage and task scheduling.
- Maintain CS-PRP and BPRP enrollment as per contract and regulations.

Job Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree minimum.
- 7 years of relevant aerosol experience.
- Knowledge of aerosol generating platforms and equipment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to work under deadline pressure, handle stress, and deliver results.
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends as needed.
- Strong communication, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
- Self-motivated with minimal oversight.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and U.S. citizenship required.
