Beacon Health System in Kalamazoo, MI is hiring an Aerobic Instructor II to lead high-quality group exercise classes under the Fitness Promotions Manager. The role requires certification as a Group Exercise Instructor (AFAA) with additional certs (ACE/ACSM/AEA/USWFA) and at least three years of experience designing and teaching aerobics classes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AFAA Certification as Group Exercise Instructor required; additional certs (ACE/ACSM/AEA/USWFA or similar) required.
• Minimum of three years of work experience as an aerobics instructor with experience designing and teaching aerobics classes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality group exercise classes.
• Ensure safe, effective and appropriate exercises; modify as necessary.
• Follow the scheduled class format and maintain proper intensity.
• Cue movements and music; ensure client can perform movements smoothly.
• Assist with class coverage across BH&F locations.
• Assist in developing new classes with the Group Exercise Coordinator.
