Job summary

RTX Technology Research Center is seeking a Research Engineer to join our integrated team of engineers and technicians focused on advancing aeroacoustics and hydroacoustics technologies for aerospace and defense applications.

The role involves state-of-the-art research, collaboration across disciplines, and preparation of proposals for RTX units and government partners. Hybrid onsite/offsite work is typical, with a salary range of 107,500 to 204,500 USD.

Qualifications

• Advanced STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent military education and experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in fundamental principles of fluid dynamics and acoustics, including acoustic analogies and unsteady fluid flow phenomena.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the application of computational and/or experimental skills towards the development of new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams on technology, product and program research using state-of-the-art R&D principles, methods, and tools.
• Develop pioneering solutions to fundamental and applied research challenges and communicate results through reports and presentations.
• Contribute to research proposal development for RTX business units and government agencies.
