Job summary

Quest Defense in Blue Ash, OH is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop and modify aero-engine components based on specifications and manufacturing capabilities. You will use NX and ANSYS to design and analyze rotating parts, capture customer requirements, and support technical substantiation in reviews.

This 100% onsite role requires a BS in mechanical/aerospace engineering, 1+ year experience, and US citizenship or green card; the company offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• BS/B.Tech in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience with gas-turbine or turbo-machinery components.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings with GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify aero-engine component designs from specs and manufacturing capabilities.
• Execute mechanical design projects on structures/rotating parts (frames, shaft, disk, blisk, seals).
• Evaluate new designs, manufacturing methods, materials, and document reports or change proposals.
• Capture customer requirements and incorporate into design.
• Support technical substantiation and participate in reviews.
• Design and analyze components using CAE tools (NX, ANSYS).
• Interface with internal/external engineers to solve problems.
• Evaluate form, fit, function and life relative to configured specs.
• Assess non-conformances and propose disposition to maximize producibility.
