Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico invites applications for a Technical Undergraduate Year-Round Intern with the Thermal, Fluid, & Aero Labs (TFAL). Onsite work is required; you will assist Aerosciences and Thermal and Fluid Sciences projects, operating test facilities and data systems under mentorship, and help build or repair test hardware.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in a related accredited undergraduate program.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
• Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Experimental Aerosciences and Experimental Thermal and Fluid Sciences departments with various projects.
• Operate and troubleshoot large-scale test facilities and associated instrumentation and data acquisition systems with a mentor.
• Assemble, modify, or repair test hardware, mechanical components, and fixtures for testing.
• Acquire and process test data.
