Job summary

GE Vernova in Houston seeks a design and development engineer to help define parts, modules, and assemblies using 2D/3D CAD, GD&T, and MBEs. This role supports concurrent engineering, drives safety, quality, and cost improvements, and communicates with stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include modeling, data management in PLM systems (Enovia/Teamcenter), and ensuring design integrity while adhering to standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or STEM from an accredited university
• Basic understanding of solid modeling software and model-based definition packages
• Minimum 0-1 year of relevant experience in engineering and/or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies with 2D/3D CAD, tolerances, and data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.
• Utilize tools and standard work to check productivity and drive improvements.
• Use PLM systems (Enovia/Teamcenter) to manage product data and issue definitions.
• Define GD&T for clearances and fits while maximizing manufacturing capabilities.
• Contribute to safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements.
