Job summary

PROENERGY is seeking a Repair Technician to support the Coatings Department at our Houston site. You will learn coatings applications, surface preparation, masking, grit blast, fixturing, shot peen, and related duties, while aligning with quality and corporate initiatives.

The role reports to the ARM Supervisor and requires reading/writing English, physical capability to lift up to 150 lbs, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• US work authorization is a precondition of employment; the company will not sponsor.
• Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Physical requirements include lifting 35lbs frequently and up to 150 lbs with hoists, standing and bending.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to read, understand and follow instructions verbally and/or written (traveler) in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties listed in repair technician documentation in compliance with company specifications, procedures, and work instructions.
• Follow directions from supervisors.
• Carry out coatings procedures in a timely manner and assist in other shop areas when needed.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Comply with safety standards.
• Contribute to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide operational support towards process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
