AERO E&T - Principal Electrical Engineer - 25741

Contract

This position will require strong HW, SW, and Project Management skills as well as very strong written and verbal communication, problem solving skills and the ability to evaluate and troubleshoot various avionics products in a high pressure engineering environment. Must be able to work from High and Low Level Engineering Requirements Documents and be capable of generating/modifying Embedded System Source Code in various SW IDE’s. Must also have the ability to troubleshoot electronic systems and provide root cause & corrective actions. The ideal candidate should have the ability of self correcting problems and work independently with minimal work direction & supervision. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

• System and Software requirements definition and documentation, embedded software applications, software development and integration
• Ability to work with cross-functional engineers (integration, verification, software, systems) in a globalized team environment
• HW Development (LRU level, module level, part obsolescence, environmental, etc…)
• Engineering Project Management
• Performance of general troubleshooting of various avionics products.
• Creation of electronics documents (Procedures, Requirements, Reports etc…)
• Read and correctly interpret test plans, procedures, work instructions, etc.
• Maintain project schedules.

Qualifications/Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry.
• BSEE (Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering) or related discipline or experience
• Candidate must have excellent computer skills including MS Office suite, etc..
• Candidate must have technical skills to read and interpret drawings.
