Job summary

Earthrise Energy is seeking a skilled Combustion Turbine Technician for the Lincoln Generating Facility in Manhattan, Illinois. The role focuses on operating, maintaining, and optimizing aero-derivative turbine equipment to ensure safe and reliable plant performance.

Qualifications include a minimum of 3 years’ direct gas turbine experience and hands-on work with GE Mark V and GE 7EA turbines. Strong documentation and teamwork are essential, with duties covering outages and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of direct gas turbine operations and maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training, associate/bachelor’s degree, or military technical background accepted.
• Hands-on experience with GE Mark V control systems and GE 7EA combustion turbines.
• Proficiency with maintenance manuals and OEM requirements for modern gas turbines.
• Strong knowledge of combustion turbine generating systems and balance-of-plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain combustion turbine equipment to ensure unit efficiency, reliability, and compliance.
• Test, calibrate, program, and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and technical documentation.
• Evaluate equipment condition and recommend reliability/safety/cost improvements.
• Develop and update standard operating procedures and preventive maintenance plans.
• Provide technical training to other technicians as needed.
• Support scheduled and unscheduled outages and respond to call-outs.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety programs and environmental standards.
