Xylem Tree Experts is seeking a Journeyman Trimmer in Newport, MI to trim, prune and remove trees using bucket trucks or other equipment. Experience with aerial lifts and a valid driver’s license are required.

Applicants should have prior utility vegetation management or related field experience and be able to pass a background check and drug screen. This full-time role includes health benefits and 401(k) options.

Qualifications

• Experience operating an aerial lift in a tree care setting.
• Driver's license is required.
• Prior experience in utility vegetation management or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and enforce rules.
• Prepare truck and materials for daily work.
• Perform professional tree maintenance as directed.
• Clear and trim trees and debris from around utilities.
• Clean up and dispose of debris after work.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Improve climbing and tree maintenance skills.
• Assist crew members as needed.
• Ensure safety around work areas and during storm duties.
