Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Familiar with electrical hazards.
• Able to identify tree and shrub species.
• Physical energy and hand-eye coordination required.
• Willing to join local union and pay dues.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, directs, checks, and coordinates work.
• Obtains permission from property owners to trim or remove trees or perform other work.
• Maintains good customer relations through safe and effective work.
• Cooperates with police and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in the work area.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, and markers for safety.
• Operates and services equipment such as saws, winches, buckets, and sprayers.
• Operates a Bucket near energized lines to remove branches and material.
• Trains new personnel and cleans up debris.
