Job summary

XKIG is seeking an Aerial Lift Trimmer in Awendaw, SC to trim, prune, and remove trees with bucket truck or other equipment. The role emphasizes safety, daily prep, and debris cleanup to keep lines clear.

The position requires climbing, rigging knowledge, awareness of electrical hazards, and ability to work at height. Full-time role with PPE provided; travel for storm work may be required.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate working knowledge of knots, ropes and rigging devices used in tree trimming/removal.
• Must be able to identify tree species.
• Must be familiar with electrical hazards and procedures near conductors.
• Must work and maneuver at considerable heights in varying weather.
• Must possess strength, balance, depth perception, and hearing instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow and help enforce safe practices and rules.
• Prepare truck and materials as directed by Foreperson.
• Perform professional tree maintenance as directed.
• Clear/trim trees and brush away from utility lines; remove debris.
• Clean up and dispose of all debris.
• Maintain tools and equipment used daily.
• Observe and improve climbing/tree maintenance skills.
• Assist other crew members as needed.
• Protect others from hazards by enforcing safe practices.
