Job summary

Niels Fugal Sons Company is seeking an OSP Aerial Project Manager in Utah. You will lead planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication to keep projects on schedule, while reviewing engineering drawings for quality and constructability.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of relevant experience and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, with field‑ready leadership capabilities. You’ll coordinate permitting, track pole attachments, and support weekly executive reviews.

  • Quality Control: ensure deliverables meet standards and client expectations.
  • Engineering Review: review drawings for quality and constructability.
  • Pole Attachment Application Submission and Tracking: manage lifecycle submissions.

What You’ll Do
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that outline key tasks, milestones, timelines, and deliverables to keep everyone aligned.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential bottlenecks and implement proactive solutions to mitigate them.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Lead progress meetings and provide clear status updates to executives, clients, and team members.
  • Quality Control: Monitor progress and ensure deliverables meet high organizational standards and client expectations.
  • Engineering Review: Review engineering drawings and prints for quality and constructability.
  • Pole Attachment Application Submission and Tracking: Submit and track applications through lifecycle.
  • Bridge the Gap: Identify engineering issues early and create collaborative feedback between engineering and construction teams.
  • Project Logistics: Create desktop takeoff sheets and submit purchase order requests to keep field teams equipped.
  • Executive Visibility: Help design, create, and support weekly slide decks for executive reviews.
What You’ll Need
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Motivate teams, build consensus, and delegate tasks.
  • Top‑Notch Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem‑Solving Prowess: Critical thinking and quick decision‑making in shifting project needs.
  • Industry Foundations: Basic understanding of aerial and underground construction methods.
  • Permitting & Utility Experience: Submit pole attachment applications and navigate municipal permits.
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Leadership Track Record: Prior supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Legal Authorization: Must have legal authorization to work in the United States; must pass pre‑employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle record check.
Preferred Extras
  • 3–5 years of dedicated OSP aerial engineering and construction experience.
  • Specific regional work experience in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, or Montana.
  • Direct experience with Telecom Fiber company systems and standards.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet to track and automate workflows.
