PUSH, Inc is a privately owned premier communications and power utility contractor headquartered in Rice Lake, WI. We are seeking an Aerial Lineman (Local Work) to build and maintain aerial telecom facilities and support service upgrades.

The role requires outdoor work in various weather conditions, travel as needed, and collaboration with customers, utility owners, and governmental officials. Valid driver’s license preferred and safety training is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience as an Aerial Groundman.
• Thorough understanding of aerial utility installation and safety regulations.
• Valid Driver’s License; Class A CDL preferred.
• Able to pass pre-employment screenings.
• Able to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Team player with ability to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Planning and initiating projects.
• Interaction with customers, utility owners and governmental officials.
• Establishing and conforming to OSHA and customer safety requirements.
• Assist in the construction of new aerial and underground services and service upgrades.
• Training and mentoring of Aerial Groundman.
• Tree trimming or route clearing.
• Use and care of specialized hand tools and required equipment.
• Operating heavy equipment such as Digger and Bucket Truck.

TheAerial Lineman builds and maintains aerial telephone systems which can consist of aerial and underground facilities.

Physical and Environmental Factors:

• Ability to work outdoors and to work in all types of outdoor weather.
• Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, carry, and lift as needed.
• Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, feet, and limbs in performing skilled movement.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Education and/or Experience:

• Work Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience as an Aerial Groundman, preferred.
• Industry Knowledge:Thorough understanding of aerial utility installation, safety regulations and work methods associated with aerial line work.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License, Class A CDL preferred.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings.
• Demonstrated field experience working with Aerial crews.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of electricity, pole-line materials, the proper and safe use of tools and equipment used in line construction and maintenance, be familiar with the aerial safety codes and practices, and work methods associated with aerial line work.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to maintain required equipment and tools.
• Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Abide all company and manufacturer safety procedures and industry safety standards, in addition to attending mandatory safety meetings.
