Job summary

PUSH, Inc. is seeking an Aerial Lineman (Local Work) in Wisconsin. This role focuses on building and maintaining aerial and underground telecom infrastructure and supporting outage response. You will interact with customers and officials while following safety standards and company procedures.

The position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, operating heavy equipment, and potentially traveling for projects. CDL is preferred and pre-employment screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience as an Aerial Groundman, preferred.
• Thorough understanding of aerial utility installation and safety regulations.
• Valid Driver’s License; Class A CDL preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and travel for outages.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and initiate projects.
• Interact with customers, utility owners and governmental officials.
• Establish and conform to OSHA and customer safety requirements.
• Assist in the construction of new aerial and underground services and upgrades.
• Train and mentor Aerial Groundman.
• Tree trimming or route clearing.
• Use of hand tools and required equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment such as Digger and Bucket Truck.

TheAerial Lineman builds and maintains aerial telephone systems which can consist of aerial and underground facilities.

Physical and Environmental Factors:

• Ability to work outdoors and to work in all types of outdoor weather.
• Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, carry, and lift as needed.
• Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, feet, and limbs in performing skilled movement.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Education and/or Experience:

• Work Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience as an Aerial Groundman, preferred.
• Industry Knowledge:Thorough understanding of aerial utility installation, safety regulations and work methods associated with aerial line work.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License, Class A CDL preferred.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings.
• Demonstrated field experience working with Aerial crews.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of electricity, pole-line materials, the proper and safe use of tools and equipment used in line construction and maintenance, be familiar with the aerial safety codes and practices, and work methods associated with aerial line work.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to maintain required equipment and tools.
• Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Abide all company and manufacturer safety procedures and industry safety standards, in addition to attending mandatory safety meetings.
