Job summary

PUSH, Inc is seeking an Aerial Lineman for local work in Black River Falls, WI. The role involves building and maintaining aerial and underground telecom infrastructure while coordinating with customers and utility owners.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of aerial groundman experience, a strong understanding of safety standards, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. CDL Class A preferred; willingness to travel for outages is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience as an Aerial Groundman.
• Thorough understanding of aerial utility installation, safety regulations and work methods.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings and demonstrate field experience with aerial crews.

Responsibilities

• Plan and initiate projects.

• Conform to OSHA and customer safety requirements.
• Assist in constructing new aerial and underground services and upgrades.
• Train and mentor Aerial Groundman.
• Tree trimming or route clearing.

TheAerial Lineman builds and maintains aerial telephone systems which can consist of aerial and underground facilities.

Physical and Environmental Factors:

• Ability to work outdoors and to work in all types of outdoor weather.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Education and/or Experience:

• Work Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience as an Aerial Groundman, preferred.
• Industry Knowledge:Thorough understanding of aerial utility installation, safety regulations and work methods associated with aerial line work.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License, Class A CDL preferred.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings.
• Demonstrated field experience working with Aerial crews.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of electricity, pole-line materials, the proper and safe use of tools and equipment used in line construction and maintenance, be familiar with the aerial safety codes and practices, and work methods associated with aerial line work.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to maintain required equipment and tools.
• Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Abide all company and manufacturer safety procedures and industry safety standards, in addition to attending mandatory safety meetings.
