Job summary

Utilities One is seeking an experienced Aerial Lineman to join our Operations team in Salem, Oregon on a contract basis. You will install aerial and underground telecom cabling, including fiber optics, and operate equipment on job sites.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, cable placement experience, and the ability to travel frequently. Lifting 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in all weather are required.

Qualifications

• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
• Experience with cable placement is required.
• Willingness to travel to multiple job sites.
• Ability to lift around 50 pounds and climb ladders safely.
• CDL is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install aerial & underground telecom cabling, including fiber optics.
• Undertake pole removal & pole transfers, and set & install new aerial cables.
• Safely operate specific equipment and machinery.
• Operate hydraulic aerial lifts and ladders mounted to trucks.
• Keep a detailed record of work activity.
• Travel to different job sites within the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Install aerial & underground telecommunications cabling, including fiber optics;
• Undertake pole removal & pole transfers, and set & install new aerial cables;
• Safely operate specific equipment and machinery;
• Operate hydraulic aerial lifts and ladders mounted to trucks;
• Keep a detailed record of work activity;
• Travel to different job sites within the market.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• A valid and unrestricted Driver's License;
• Previous Cable Placement experience;
• Ability to travel to different job sites very frequently;
• Ability to lift around 50 pounds, safely climb ladders, and work in all weather conditions;
• CDL is preferred.
