Job summary

Utilities One in the Washington market is seeking Aerial Linemen to join our operations team in Kent. This contract role focuses on aerial construction and maintenance of telecommunications cabling, including fiber optics, with a fast-paced, field-driven environment.

You will work on multiple sites, handle pole transfers, install new cabling, and operate lifts and trucks. A valid license, ability to travel frequently, and the toughness to lift 50 pounds are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Experience placing cable for telecommunications.
• Ability to travel to multiple job sites very frequently.
• Ability to lift around 50 pounds and work in all weather.
• CDL is preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Install aerial and underground telecommunications cabling, including fiber optics.
• Undertake pole removal and transfers; set and install new aerial cables.
• Safely operate equipment and machinery, including hydraulic aerial lifts and ladders.
• Maintain records of work activities and site progress.
• Travel to different job sites within the market as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Install aerial & underground telecommunications cabling, including fiber optics;
• Undertake pole removal & pole transfers, and set & install new aerial cables;
• Safely operate specific equipment and machinery;
• Operate hydraulic aerial lifts and ladders mounted to trucks;
• Keep a detailed record of work activity;
• Travel to different job sites within the market.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• A valid and unrestricted Driver's License;
• Previous Cable Placement experience;
• Ability to travel to different job sites very frequently;
• Ability to lift around 50 pounds, safely climb ladders, and work in all weather conditions;
• CDL is preferred.
