Job summary

Communication Data Link is seeking an experienced Aerial Lineman to join our Grimes, IA team. The role involves building strand, splicing, fiber installation, and pole transfers on aerial telecom lines, all with a strong emphasis on safety.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in aerial construction, can work with bucket trucks, and are willing to travel weekly. CDL-A is strongly preferred, or you will obtain one within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of aerial construction experience.
• Knowledge in building strand, lashing/over lashing, retro fitting, pole transfers, vertical grounds, and building and repairing aerial telecommunications transmission lines.
• Proficient in new build, splicing, fiber installation, and pole transfers.
• Ability to utilize bucket trucks, climb poles, and utilize standard tools of the trade.
• A respect for safety protocols.
• Strong time management.
• Class A CDL strongly preferred, or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• Must be willing to travel each week.

Willing to relocate to Grimes, Iowa.

Must have:

• Knowledge in building strand, lashing/over lashing, retro fitting, pole transfers, vertical grounds, and building and repairing aerial telecommunications transmission lines.
• 3+ year experience in Aerial construction
• Proficient in new build, splicing, fiber installation, and pole transfers
• Ability to utilize bucket trucks, climb poles as needed, and utilize standard tools of the trade.
• A respect for safety protocols
• Strong time management
• Ability to work in tough conditions; snow, rain, extreme heat
• Class A CDL Strongly preferred, or willingness obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Must be willing to travel each week
