What you’ll do as an Aerial Lineman

• Assist with the installation of fiber and telecom cables overhead, and promptly repair any issues to ensure efficient and reliable service
• Safely use equipment like bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws
• Maintain safe work areas to ensure smooth traffic flow while on the job
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver’s license (non-provisional) with an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a medical card
• Previous construction experience preferred, especially in telecommunications

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and remote locations, climb stairs, use ladders, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicles and heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
