Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking a field technician to perform professional tree maintenance and assist in daily crew operations. You will clear vegetation near utility lines, trim branches, and help prepare trucks and equipment under the foreperson's direction.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Travel is occasional.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in electric utility vegetation management or related fields preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing truck and materials needed for each day.
• Perform professional tree maintenance activities as directed by crew.
• Clear and trim trees and brush away from utility lines; remove branches.
• Maintain and keep track of tools and equipment used daily.
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.

Description

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
• Valid Driver’s license required. CDL preferred.
