Job summary

CBX Solutions is seeking an Aerial Ground Hand to join our team in Texas. You will work with fiber optic and copper systems in new and existing applications, performing aerial construction tasks and operating equipment that keeps projects on schedule.

Qualified candidates have a CDL A, OSHA 10, and fall protection training. This role offers a path to skilled, hands‑on career growth with a reputation for safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• CDL A is required and a valid certification.
• OSHA 10 and fall protection training completed.
• Ability to climb utility poles and operate aerial lifts, bucket trucks, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs aerial construction labor including installing ground rods and anchors and assisting in hoisting equipment.
• Ability to climb utility poles at various heights and read basic maps.
• Operates hydraulic aerial lifts and ladders mounted to trucks and other equipment as needed.
• Maintains safe, clean work areas and ensures inventory on the vehicle daily.
• Participates in JSA and pre-trip inspections; helps train Laborer 1 team members.

CBX Solutions is seeking an Aerial Ground Hand to be part of our team. This position will be responsible for working with fiber optic and copper cable systems in both new and existing applications.

Essential Functions

• Performs various aerial construction labor including but not limited to, preparing, and assembling various line apparatus, utilizing equipment to install ground rods and anchors, assisting in hoisting aerial poles, and operating various types of construction equipment
• Ability to climb utility poles at various heights
• Basic print and map reading abilities
• Ability to operate hydraulic aerial lifts and ladders mounted to trucks as well as other various pieces of equipment as needed
• Safely operate mechanical equipment such as bucket trucks, assist wheel, and anchor placement machine
• Keeps work areas clean and organized; always ensure job site cleanliness
• Maintains proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignments daily
• JSA’s and pre-trip inspections, ability to recognize changing conditions as it relates to JSA
• Help train laborer 1 team members

Minimum Qualifications

• Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lashers, chain saw, chain hoist, climbing hooks etc.
• Ensures job site safety and sets up safe perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers; flagging traffic when required
