Job summary

Sunrise Telecom Inc. is seeking an Aerial Construction Lineman to construct strand infrastructure and lash fiber cables to strand. The role requires operating a bucket truck and coordinating with crew for setup and safety on job sites.

Responsibilities include setting up trailers, maintaining clearance from utilities, framing poles, and reading network prints while adhering to OSHA standards. Night/weekend work may be required, and a valid driver’s license is necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Combination of technical training and/or experience.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• Previous experience in a construction environment preferred.
• Must be able to meet physical requirement of the position.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends, if necessary.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to pass drug, background, DOT & MVR screenings.

Responsibilities

• Operate bucket truck and other equipment related to aerial fiber construction.
• Set up job sites (strand trailer, fiber trailer and caddies) proficiently.
• Maintain clearances from utilities, ground, road, and pedestrian areas.
• Frame poles according to industry specifications.
• Lash/over-lash single and multiple fiber cable bundles as required.
• Read and interpret network prints.
• Safely climb poles using gaffs or ladders.
• Follow OSHA safety requirements to perform duties safely and efficiently.
• Communicate by phone with crew throughout the day.
• Follow directions from crew leader.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
